Please continue to pray for Benaiah, our teenage friend who's recovering from a brain injury that he got in March. Here's a quote from his dad Kevin, posted on their CaringBridge site:
"Benaiah is very passive lately, I called neurosurgery today to see if we could see them tomorrow when we go to Dartmouth for his other appointments. He still has an excess of fluid where they changed his shunt and today he had some swelling under his temple where the bone was removed and replaced. We walk everyday, but he is not progressing as expected, we need to prod him to keep his head up and he refuses to speak more and more. Hopefully we will get some answers tomorrow, we see the neuro doctor that deals with siezures, and I plan to ask specific questions about the possible effects from his meds."
Benaiah and his family are really on my heart today. Maybe it's because it's becoming autumn, and I'm thinking of other autumns, like the time Teresa (Benaiah's mom) helped me move into my freshman dorm. Or because soon I'll start homeschooling, and Teresa and Kevin were the first family I knew who homeschooled. Whatever the reason, take a second or three to lift them up to the Father who made Benaiah, loves him, and who has allowed all this to happen in order to bring glory to himself.
